Love the Halifax and Calderdale pics - your high-contrast, high-saturation technique is very effective. I'd be interested to read more about your processing methods if you'd like to share them.

Hi pardon me but are you the contributor to Calderdale Companion of a piece on an ex pub "Who could a' thowt it" in north side of Southowram? If yes - I am trying to find data on its past - I think I have family connections with the place - I found your photograph of the site of the pub on Flikr - some stunning stuff - BTW I was born in Hipperholme and brought up next door to Travellers Rest Pub and was connected to Allen's Brickworks - my maternal g'father was a clay miner around Hipperholme

Stunning shots Darrel, I am just dabbling in the HDR recently but it is -25 c here and I am sort of hibernating for a few more weeks. Your countryside and structures are amazing, they have torn down so many of the historic buildings here it is sinful. I love all the old stone buildings and the country scenes. You Halifax is soooo different from ours.

Al the best from Nova Scotia.
